Hi, my name is Ash!

I’m a photographer based in Launceston, Tasmania, and being behind the camera really is my happy place.

I had the eye for a photo long before I ever owned a camera. I’d be in the car or on the bus and think, that would make such a great photo. Growing up rural taught me to notice things, the way a scene can look completely different from one day to the next.

I started with nature, landscapes and the little details that are easy to walk past. I still love all of that.

These days I’m also photographing people and pets, and it feels like the most natural next step. I’ve never been one to stick myself in a box. If something catches my eye, I do my best to capture it.

I care about photos that feel real. Not stiff, not forced. Just the light, the feeling, and the story in front of me.
